Dear Brother Jochen,

You wrote;

{Maybe you can explain to me in particular what you think of the relative distance of moon and stars. Nobody has made an attempt to answer this one yet.}

Your concern is:

"Do you not see how God has created the seven heavens one above the other, and made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a lamp?" Sura 71:15-16

Then You Claim there is a contradiction by stating;

{What is wrong for sure, is the Qur'anic claim that the stars are in a lower or even lowest heaven, while the moon is in a middle heaven.}

You claim the word "midst" as Yusuf Ali translates means "middle"

This claim is not valid in the English or the Arabic meaning of the word.

Let us start with the English Webster Dictionary to show you the difference between "Midst" and "Middle"

Midst: "The position of anything surrounded by "or" amoung other things."
Middle: "Equally distant from the extremes."

Now lets look at the Arabic word used which is pronounced "Fehin" which in the Arabic/English Dictionary means "Therein"

The Arabic word for middle is "El westa" which we can see in Sura 2:238.

The Arabic word "Fehin" is clearly understood in English "translations" by Pickthal and Shakir

PICKTHAL: "And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?" Sura 71:16
SHAKIR: "And made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp?" Sura 71:16

This is an example on how you twist words around and simply because of your lack of knowledge of Arabic or simply pride, you try in vain to create a contradiction.

My sincere message to you is that on the day of Judgement, your peers will be your judge and those who do not know Islam and have been fooled and led astray by your twisting of words, will point to you as the guilty one.

I personelly enjoy your site as it strengthens my faith in Islam because it promotes me to do more research. For those who are falsely believing in the Bible, your site only strengthens thier ignorance, no offence to anyone intended, all because of your pride.

It is your free choice. Any true scholar in Islam which I do not claim to be, would see your site and only have pity for you and your soul.

I personnelly would be happy to take words you are confused with and clarify the proper Arabic meaning and will provide refrences.

And I have visited What is revelation?

Here you claim Jesus is relevlation and God. According to the Bible, Jesus is many different things and you can single out and support what ever passage you want but just keep in mind that the Bible also says Jesus is the Devil but I don't think you'll single out and support those passages.

You see brother Jochen, the question is who is Jesus according to the Bible, the
cursed,or the devil,or God, or a hypocrite,or brother of man,or son of man,or son of God,or prophet etc..

The answer is in the Koran.

Peace and Blessings,
Your Brother in Islam: Mohamed
